Anna Hazare and his supporters have decided to call off the ongoing agitation if the government doesn't relent.

Social activist Anna Hazare, who started fast on Sunday making a pledge to fight and fast till he was alive, criticised the Central govt for cheating them time and again.

Anna and his activists want the government to ensure that the anti-corruption Lokpal Bill is cleared by Parliament urgently.

Fearing forcible hospitalisation of three fasting activists, including Arvind Kejriwal, scores of Team Anna supporters kept vigil throughout the night at the Jantar Mantar protest venue.

A scuffle broke out between Team Anna supporters and mediapersons on Monday night at Jantar Mantar, where anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare is on an indefinite fast.

The only concession possible, sources in the government indicated, was an appeal to Anna Hazare to end his fast, citing concerns over his health.

"I am warning the govt to not try to arrest and hospitalize us. The consequences will be bad," said Kejriwal, questioning the grounds on which he could be arrested.

The continued fasting, resistance to medical intervention and warning of dire consequences if they were forcibly shifted from Jantar Mantar are likely to spark a law and order situation.

The official twitter handle of India Against Corruption (IAC) as well as its official website today put a poser to the public asking "should Annaji provide a political alternative to the country?

Team Anna continues on its hunger strike demanding the creation of a Special Investigation Team to investigate claims of anti-corruption and to pass the Lokpal Bill.
