Malaysians Are Transferring RM1 Into Rosmah's Personal Bank Account Because They Can
Would you do the same?
Just yesterday, popular whistleblower site Sarawak Report released an exposé that claims Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Najib Razak, has transferred millions of ringgit into her own personal account
Sarawak Report has been passed information relating to an account at Affin Bank Berhad owned by the Prime Minister’s wife Rosmah Mansor. According to documentation related to the 1MDB related enquiries, between 10th February and 23rd April 2015 a gentleman called Roslan Bin Sohari entered the central branch of the bank in Kuala Lumpur on eight occasions. On these visits he deposited a round total of RM2,000,000.00 into the account number 1000 2000 0058, which investigators have reported as belonging to “Rosmah Binti Mansor (Datin Sri)”.

The exposé also revealed Rosmah's personal details such as her phone number, her address, and her bank account details
Following the report, a popular satire page on Facebook decided to test out the claims by transferring RM1 into Rosmah's account and it quickly gathered a strong amount of shares
Shortly after, commenters uploaded their own screenshots to "prove" that the accounts are real
Eager beavers used all types of banks and methods. From transferring through CIMB...
... and all the way to Maybank2U, the results reaffirmed that the account existed
One even took the time to head down to a cash deposit machine to verify the claims
"Why pay to verify the account number when you can do it for free?" said one as he taught commenters how to check without transferring money into the account
But for one, it wasn't about the money. He just wanted her number to invite her for a yum cha session.
