PLUS highway has released their travel time advisory and highway discounts to help those who are travelling during Chinese New Year plan their route.

PLUS highway is expecting 1.5 million vehicles a day, or an increase of 25%, during the Chinese New Year period
Its Chief Operating Officer, Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said 1.5 million vehicles are expected to use the North-South Expressway (NSE) daily, an increased of 25 per cent compared to 1.2 million vehicles on normal days.

“We expect those in the Klang Valley to start leaving for their kampongs beginning from 29 January to 31 January (Wednesday-Friday). Meanwhile, we expect the journey back to the Klang Valley in staggered starting from 1 February to 9 February.” Noorizah elaborated.

A joint statement by the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and the Association of Highway Concessionaires on Tuesday said 18 highways would offer the discount range to class one vehicles over varying periods from Jan 30 to Feb 2.
They are: SMART, AKLEH, GUTHRIE, LKSA, DUKE, SKVE, KLK, LPT1, NPE, MEX, NNKSB, Besraya, SDE, LDP, SPRINT, LEKAS and BORR.

PLUS will be giving a 20% rebate for class one drivers using SmartTAG and Touch n' Go cards on five of its highways on Jan 29 and Feb 4.
