[BREAKING] Dell, MSN Malaysia and More Hacked By "#Bangladeshi Hacker"

Major Malaysian websites (Skype, Dell, MSN etc.) were hacked into today, 1 July 2013, by hackers that go by "#Bangladeshi HackeR" and "TiGER-M@TE." Check out the message the hackers left!

UPDATE @5pm: We have contacted both MYNiC and MCMC to get their feedback on this issue. We have strong reason now to believe that the MYNiC registry data has been compromised as part of the attack, and Google as well as other DNS servers merely updated ...

Malaysian dot coms were hacked into by hackers that go by the alias "TiGER-M@TE." They also left a message and words in bright yellow that reads, "#Bangladeshi HackeR."

Sites like Microsoft, Dell, Skype, Kapersky, MSN, Bing and more were hacked into.

Hackers "TiGER-M@TE" left this message on Malaysian dot coms, "Hello Malaysia, you think you are more advanced than us? Respect our workers, we will respect you! Running it since 2007 :)"

What are netizens saying about the hack?

"Further investigation revealed there are traces of ‘Bahasa’ in their source code. We believe now that the MYNiC registry itself has been compromised, all the domain on the .MY suffix are now in risk of malicious attacks."

"Hackers used iWebTool to scramble their code. That's the reason why there is some 'Bahasa' looking words in the source code."

"The second alias still points to somewhere in the middle east, Algeria. My best guess is that this is tied to the recent General Election 13."

"We can confirm now that the issue isn't isolated to Google DNS. We did some random lookups & have discovered that MSN (.com.my), Bing (.com.my) & Dell (.com.my) records have been poisoned across other DNS poisoned across other DNS servers as well (Level3 and OpenDNS)"

Over 30 pages of websites with "defacement"

The "TiGER-M@TE" outlink leads to a "zone-h unrestricted information" page, showing a list comprising of over 30 pages worth of websites that are labelled with "H," "M," "R," "L," and [pic of star].

"H" stands for "Homepage defacement"; "M" for "Mass defacement"; "R" for "Redefacement"; "L" for "IP address location"; and [pic of star] for "Special defacement."
