Man Climbs Up Electrical Tower In Bangsar To Take Selfie For His 26th Birthday

For most of us, a birthday would often be celebrated with dinner parties or short getaways. But for this 26-year-old man, it was taking a selfie from high atop an electrical tower.
Passing motorists were alarmed to see a man climbing up the massive electrical pylon near The Pullman Hotel in Bangsar on 20 November, Monday evening. Assuming that he was attempting suicide, the police was alerted.
Eight firefighters were dispatched to the scene in two fire engines
"As they arrived at the scene, there was a man climbing up the electricity pylon. However, the man climbed down soon after receiving orders from the police while the firefighters were ready for any eventuality," said City Fire and Rescue Department director Khirudin Drahman as quoted by Harian Metro.
When the police questioned him, he told them that he climbed up the tower to take a memorable selfie on his 26th birthday.
While no one was hurt during the incident, the police are investigating whether to press charges
Hopefully he got a decent selfie after all that trouble! As for us, we'll be sticking to celebrating birthdays the old-fashioned way.
