Malaysia Defeats Indonesia 18-1 In Field Hockey At The KL 2017 SEA Games

The Malaysian field hockey team defeated Indonesia with an impressive score of 18-1 in last night's opening match at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil
Bernama reported that Indonesia suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Malaysian team, which was ranked 12th in the world.
The host led 5-0 in the first quarter and added four more goals in the second quarter through Fitri Saari, Ramadan Rosli, Faizal Saari and Rashid Baharom.
Indonesia scored their only goal upon resuming play in the second half
Malaysia then piled on the pressure and scored nine more goals to close off their first match in style.
The team will go up against Thailand in a match later today.
The women's team also had an impressive start to their SEA Games campaign with an 11-0 win over Indonesia on Tuesday
They proceeded to beat Singapore 5-0 in the second match.
