For the first time ever, McDonald's is changing the design of its iconic fry box globally to celebrate the spirit of the FIFA World Cup Brazil with customers around the world. This program brings the Tournament to life visually through unique packaging that features artwork by 12 artists from around the world.

12 artists were shortlisted and are from different countries around the world from Australia all the way to Brazil
Western Australia's David Spencer has been commissioned to design the iconic red fry box.

Artists were selected from a broad cross-section of the art world: commercial to fine arts; traditional to contemporary; and professionally well-known to newly discovered. Each piece of artwork was judged against established criteria to select the final pieces.

To enhance the experience, McDonalds has also launched a mobile app called GOL! that allows users to participate in a fun trick-shot challenge together with the fry box
The McDonald's Fry Box serves a trigger for the augmented reality (AR) app and fans can 'kick' the ball in the goal with real life objects acting as obstacles in the way
The GOL! App also allows fans to show their support for their national team by getting the best score which will then be updated on a daily basis
The app is available for download and can be found on both Android and Apple platforms
