Authorities have apprehended a 54-year-old man following an incident in Bandar Baru Uda, Johor, where he allegedly exposed himself to two young girls while seated in his vehicle
The arrest took place at 11pm on 1 April at a residence in Masai, just hours after the father of one of the victims lodged a police report, according to the New Straits Times.
Johor Baru (North) police chief ACP Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said the suspect was identified through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage capturing the incident.

The incident occurred at about 1pm on 1 April along Jalan Padi Mahsuri 10, a quiet residential area
A black car — later identified as a Honda Accord — was seen idling as the two victims, aged 10 and 12, walked past through the housing estate.
According to investigators, the suspect called out to the children and requested directions to a nearby toilet. When one of the girls approached the vehicle to assist, the man allegedly exposed himself, prompting both children to flee as the driver reversed and sped off.

The suspect has been remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 15(a)(i) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017
This provision addresses non-physical sexual acts, including indecent exposure and other visual offences targeting minors.
If found guilty, offenders face a prison sentence of up to 10 years, a fine of up to RM20,000, or both.
