When asked if he thought he would win the semifinals, Singh replied in rough English, "I've gone to India's Got Talent only to show my whole talent to India that 'motu' [chubby person] can also dance. I dance every day for three hours, and I eat more," he joked, drawing loud laughter from the audience.
He added a phrase in Hindi, which his interpreter translated as, "If there's no gas in the car, how will the car run?"
At the end of this appearance Ellen decided to gift this little bundle of talent from Kolkata a small present, which brought a big smile on his face. A cool mean machine – a red bike hat had a blingy name plate with ‘Akshat’ inscribed in the front.

Eight-year-old Akshat Singh floored the judges and audience on TV show India's Got Talent with a dance act that imitated Bollywood star Salman Khan, and has been invited by Ellen to appear on her show in Los Angeles.

NDTV met Akshat, who is from Kolkata, at Mumbai airport on his way to the US and he said he was very excited to be appearing on the show. He did admit, though, that he hadn't heard of Ellen.
