There's A K-Drama Coming Out This Year About A Woman Who Turns Into... A Chicken Nugget
Now I'm sked to eat nuggets lol.
There are some truly wacky K-dramas out there, but this upcoming one may just take the cake nugget?
Aptly titled Chicken Nugget, the comedy K-drama is about a woman who accidentally gets turned into a chicken nugget after entering a mysterious machine. When her father discovers this, he sets out on a mission to turn her back into a human, assisted by a man who has a crush on his daughter.
Y'all, what even is this plot hahahaha. But ngl, it sounds like it's gonna be a hilarious watch.
Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, the drama is set to release on Netflix sometime this year
Today, 8 February, Netflix posted a teaser of the upcoming drama on Twitter, with a caption that reads "The rumours are true".
The five-second teaser shows a quick snippet of the woman's transformation, followed by scenes of her father and the man who has a crush on her holding her nugget form and wailing in misery.
Watch it below:
As you can see in the snippet, the cast includes the following:
- Kim Yoo-jung as Choi Min-ah, the woman who gets turned into a chicken nugget after stepping into a mysterious machine that she mistakes as a fatigue-recovery machine. Kim Yoo-jung has made a name for herself through lead roles in various hit K-dramas like Love in the Moonlight, Lovers of the Red Sky, and My Demon. Her role in Chicken Nugget is listed as a cameo, so we can assume that her character spends most of the drama in her nugget form.
- Ryu Seung-ryong as Choi Seon-man, the president of All Machines, the company that made the machine which caused Min-ah's transformation. He is also Min-ah's father. You may know Ryu Seung-ryong from his previous roles in Kingdom, Moving, and Miracle in Cell No. 7.
- Ahn Jae-hong as Baek-joong, an intern at All Machines who has a crush on Min-ah. He tries to help her father turn her back into a human. Ahn Jae-hong is probably best known for his roles in Reply 1988 and Fight for My Way.
