From Kedah To New York City, Yuna Has Made It To One Of The World's Most Iconic Billboards
You know you've made it big time when your face is plastered on a giant, brightly-lit billboard in Times Square, New York... and that's exactly what happened to our very own Yuna!
The singer-songwriter, who'd moved to Los Angeles to further her music career seven years ago at the age of 23, revealed the amazing news earlier today on Twitter:
Why is this a big deal? The NASDAQ billboard - located at the iconic "Crossroads of the World" in the heart of New York City - is considered one of the most expensive ad estates in Times Square, where billboard ads can cost up to USD4 million per year!
Yuna also explained that the ad is part of a monthly campaign in which select artistes are featured to promote their music, with this month being her turn. The billboard had previously featured artistes such as American electronic duo The Chainsmokers, known for their addictive hit single 'Closer'.
"Alhamdullilah, I believe this is my rezeki after the release of my album 'Chapters' last May. I've been working hard in the US for five years now and so to see my face up on the NASDAQ billboard makes it all worthwhile," she said.
Congratulations on this milestone, Yuna! Words can't describe how proud we are of you. :')
