OMG, Jonas Brothers Are Reportedly Making A Comeback Nearly 6 Years After Splitting Up!
"When you look me in the eyyyeees, and tell me you’re reuniiiitiiiing…"
We're burnin' up for this, baby!
Nearly six years after the sibling trio's sudden split, the Jonas Brothers are reportedly planning to get the band back together in an "epic reunion". *cue fangirls screaming*
Citing multiple sources and music insiders, Us Weekly reported that Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas will be dropping the "Brothers" from their band name and reuniting as "JONAS" for upcoming projects
According to The Sun's Simon Boyle, the trio recently made a secret trip to London to plan their reunion, which will reportedly include new music as well as a documentary chronicling their efforts to stage a comeback.
"It's no secret that things weren't great by the end of the Jonas Brothers, but blood is thicker than water and they've healed their rift in the years since the split," an insider was quoted as saying.
"After enjoying solo music success and taking time to work on passion projects, they feel that now is the right time to get back together."
Formed in 2005, the teen heartthrobs broke fangirl hearts everywhere when they announced their split in 2013 shortly after cancelling their tour and deleting their official Twitter account
In the years following the break-up, the three brothers have each taken on their own projects:
Nick, who recently married actress Priyanka Chopra, released two successful solo albums and appeared in 2017's Jumanji Reboot and hit TV show Scream Queens, while Joe formed DNCE in 2015, of which he is the frontman of.
While Kevin has not released any music of his own, the eldest Jonas Brother is making waves as an entrepreneurs, having appeared in the seventh season of Celebrity Apprentice and later, appointed as co-CEO of The Blu Market, creator of food app Yood, and became a partner in content-sharing app We Heart It.
Though the brothers have yet to make an official announcement, reunion rumours have purportedly been circling around since January 2018 after the band's original Instagram page was reactivated for the first time in four years
However, Nick later told W Magazine that "it's not happening right now" as they are each focusing on their own projects at the moment... although he did say "never say never".
Kevin also renewed hope for a possible reunion in an interview with Us Weekly in May 2018, when he told the portal that he and his siblings still play music together for fun.
"There are guitars everywhere around all of our houses. Pianos. Guitars. It's kind of just in our blood. It's in our nature," he said.
