Nora Danish, Elizabeth Tan, And Other Malaysians Do The #ListenToHappiness Challenge
Malaysians band together to spread positive messages on social media.
You can almost hear the negativity through violent videos, laments and fiery comments. It's almost impossible to retire to a 'quiet', peaceful newsfeed.
Earlier this month, several Malaysian personalities chose to cut through the noise and destress by filling social media with positivity and the hashtag #ListenToHappiness.
The aim of the challenge is simple. Malaysians are to spread happiness by sharing what sounds makes them happy and to nominate their friends to take part in the challenge.
Nora Danish started the challenge by highlighting that her child makes her smile no matter how tired she is
Farid Kamil, an actor who starred in Evolusi KL Drift followed up by sharing his sound of happiness before nominating his wife, Diana Danielle
This was echoed by Sazzy Falak, who enjoyed listening to the cute laughter her children makes
"My sound of happiness is definitely the laughter from my kids. First thing I'd like to hear in the morning would be their cute little voices laughing away. I would like to nominate @nazrilnashidrus to share his sound of happiness."
The challenge then spread to a few radio stations in the Klang Valley. For YingYing, OneFM radio announcer, these adorable kids were the source of her happiness.
(My ‘voice of happiness’ is my cute niece, Mmmmmuack! Share with me what’s your voice of happiness! Remember to #ListenToHappiness #MYMAGNATEC, so we can spread your voice of happiness)
For Ben from FlyFM, this little baby munching on his first baby biscuit was enough to make him smile widely
Hearing #EvanLoh munch on his first baby biscuit is my sound of happiness what's yours? @aghotfm @cowbear @onefmyin @nadianazir #LISTENTOHAPPINESS #MYMAGNATEC #BenStellaJr
Family seemed to be a common theme for a majority of Malaysians, as actor Shaheizy Sam explained on Instagram
"Kebahagian tak boleh dibeli, utk dapat semudah ABC. Hehek . Selagi ada masa free, kongsi bersama family. They are my sound of happiness. APA SOUND OF HAPPINESS anda wahai brado @fezrulkhan, boleh share? #ListenToHappiness #myMAGNETEC"
In the hecticness of city life, nature and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks is the perfect remedy to get away from it all for both FlyFM DJ, Zher, and model, Ju Wei
The sound of crashing waves in the big blue ocean. That's the sound of my happiness. What's yours? @cowbear @benjern @guibooo @ivanakayen #LISTENTOHAPPINESS #MYMAGNATEC
The sounds of lapping waves and laughter with my dear are definitely my sounds of happiness! What’s your sound of happiness? I nominate @juneesteoh to share her sound of happiness #listentohappiness #myMAGNATEC
