[VIDEO] M'sians Guess What's Happening In These K-Drama Scenes With No Subtitles. Can Meh?
Think you're a pro in Korean? Come try and guess what's happening in these scenes. :P
Whether you're a diehard K-drama fan or one that's just starting, we can all agree that we need to rely on subtitles or translations to understand what's going on in K-dramas, right?
While we may be obsessed with K-dramas, from binge-watching them all night to always keeping up with the latest shows and updates, let's face it — Korean is a difficult language to master, aigooooo (oh my god).
With Netflix's latest #IfYouKYouK campaign, we decided to challenge our colleagues who don't know how to speak Korean to guess the K-drama titles and interpret selected scenes without any subtitles or translations, hehe
That's right, we chose a handful of popular Netflix K-dramas, such as legal drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, romance drama 20th Century Girl, and more, to see if they could guess the titles and plots with no context, hehe.
You're probably thinking, "Huh, can meh?" Well, let's find out, hehe.
Watch the full video below to see what went down:
First, while trying to guess the name of the K-drama, Business Proposal, Amat took a shot with 'Honey, Don't Go', lololol
Amat: "I know. Honey, Don't Go."
Gowri: "Where did that come from?"
Iylia: "From the toilet scene?"
When trying to explain a scene in Little Women, Brenda went waaaaaaayyy off the plot, and was telling a whole new story itself XD
Brenda: "Suddenly, she's like, 'Wait, you want your glasses? I get for you, okay?' Because of mata, mata. Suddenly, she opens the bag [and said], 'Oh jia lat.'
Amat: "Jia lat?"
Brenda: "Jia lat is like alamak."
Amat: "Ohhh, jia lat, okay."
As Iylia and Gowri attempted to explain a scene from 20th Century Girl, Iylia got confused and messed up her part, HAHA
Gowri: "This is the dramatic part."
Iylia: "I am actually going to New Zealand. Why am I reacting?"
Gowri: "I don't know, it should be me who is shocked. It's a good opportunity."
And... we have Iylia and Gowri as the winners of the challenge! And seems like someone is a little disappointed, aiyooo, kesian Brenda.
Iylia and Gowri: "Kamsahamnida."
Host: "Okay, so how is that for everyone? How do you feel?"
Brenda: "Great."
Amat: "How do you feel, Brenda?"
Brenda: "Feeling very light and empty here."
