American rock quintet One Republic served hit after hit right from the word go, and they didn't need any elaborate staging, flashy lights, pyros or flamboyant stagecraft and antics to keep their fans engaged. Just Ryan Tedder's signature vocals, backed by great music by the rest of the highly skillful band, was enough to captivate all who came to the band's very first live concert here in Malaysia which was held at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon, last night.
