[PHOTOS] Everything You Missed At The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards
The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards saw stars like Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Beyonce and more take home awards!
Katy Perry and Riff Raff did a throwback to Britney Spears' and Justin Timberlake's 2001 VMA fashion disaster by dressing up in full denim
Nicki Minaj had an interesting night, starting out with a very in-your-face performance of her new song "Anaconda"...
Taylor Swift performed her controversial new song "Shake It Off", but the headlines were all on her outfit, a blue 'onesie'
Lorde took home the "Best Rock Video". We're not sure why she won over actual rock bands.
Miley Cyrus won the "Best Video Of The Year" and stole the stage by sending a homeless man to collect the award on her behalf. The stunt was to raise awareness for My Friend's Place, an organisation that helps the homeless find shelter.
As Jesse spoke, Ms. Cyrus’s representatives introduced via her social media channels a Prizeo.com fund-raising campaign for My Friend’s Place, an organization based in Los Angeles that helps homeless people from the ages of 12 to 25 find housing, jobs, health care and schooling. Those who make donations before Sept. 21 will be entered in a lottery. The prize: a chance to hang out with Ms. Cyrus when her Bangerz tour reaches Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 28.

Near the end of Sunday’s live show, at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., when Jimmy Fallon announced that Ms. Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball” had won video of the year, a longhaired man who said he was from Oregon and had recently been living on the streets of Hollywood appeared at the microphone. “My name is Jesse,” the young man said, reading from notes without mentioning his surname. “I am accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving and lost and scared for their lives. I know, because I am one of those people.”
