French quartet Chet Nuneta delivered a lively and commanding performance that had festival-goers waxing lyrical.

The biggest cheer was reserved for Kila, whose infectious Irish folk melodies and pulsating instrumentation ended day one in spectacular fashion, as the remaining audience members danced deep into the night.

Day two of the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) was all about battle cries and messages. Indonesia’s Rafly Wa Saja and Dizu Plaatjies & the Ibuyambo Ensemble took turns to engage with festival goers during their performances.

Day two show-closers Kries from Croatia were not to be denied either. Amidst his impressive band’s atmospheric and dark ethno-rock, frontman Mojmir Novaković also commented about the need for greater forest conservation.
