SAYS EXCLUSIVE: Peter Dinklage Doesn't Trust People Like Bolivar Trask
Peter Dinklage shares how he studied "people in the news" as research to prepare for his role as villain Bolivar Trask in "X-Men: Days Of Future Past".
SAYS met up with "Game Of Thrones" favourite and "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" star Peter Dinklage and he shared with us his thoughts on his character Bolivar Trask:
"He’s [Bolivar Trask] terrible, he’s a terrible-- he does terrible things. No, I try not to judge him too much. But what he’s proposing is what he thinks is an act of heroism - he doesn’t see anything wrong with saving mankind. He’s done his Darwinian homework and sees the mutants as the higher rung on the evolutionary ladder."
bit.ly"He basically exploits people’s fears of the unknown and their need for self-preservation and protecting their nations and their families. What he's is a genocide of this higher species for sure, so that’s a terrible thing. And he’s a warp, he’s profiting from it, that’s pretty, that’s awful."
bit.lyPeter Dinklage, however, expressed how he personally tries not to "spend too much time with people like him [Bolivar Trask]"
"He’s pretty cold, he doesn’t sweat - he’s smooth and those are the people, I sort of, in my life, don’t trust. I know people sort of closer to him, personality wise, in the news and what have you. I try not to spend too much time with people like him myself."
bit.lyWhen asked how he prepared for his role as the villain, Peter mentioned research of "people in the news, people who have done terrible things and wearing a suit" but cleverly added that "I'm not mentioning any names."
"Nobody I know, personally. I wouldn’t be friends with anybody like this. But there’s been some recent activity back in the States about Wall Street. They go to work in a suit everyday and it’s seemingly innocent, they’re very persuasive and intelligent but they are doing terrible things – whether stealing people’s money or profiting for more.”
bit.lyPeter also shared his love for old t-shirts and how he would "basically wear them until they become a second skin and shed naturally."
"Oh my, well I have my favourite t-shirts that I would basically wear. This isn’t one of them, but it will be one day. I love old t-shirts."
