'Chewbacca' Tweets A Treasure Trove Of Unseen Photos From The Set Of 'Star Wars'
"Stars Wars" fans, try not to freak out.
Over the past few days, Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars, has shared a host of behind-the-scenes images from his days on the set of the iconic film franchise
"#nostalgic so Im going to post some pics tonight," Mayhew tweeted on Wednesday along with a picture of himself, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher "sharing a laugh..."
This kick-started a captivating Twitter spree that lasted until the early morning hours on Friday
Among them: photos of Harrison Ford holding a (fake) gun to his head, the making of the film series’ costumes and larger-than-life set design, gratuitous Carrie Fisher bikini shots, and even a behind-the-scenes look at how they made that famous Star Wars opening crawl (hint: it resembles a giant iPad).

Peter later tweeted this picture of Bikini-clad Fisher (as Princess Leia) with her stunt double, saying: "Ok, you lot really like pics of a certain princess! Here's one of Carrie and her stunt double. You're Welcome."
Moments after tweeting the above picture, Peter then tweeted this picture, saying: "But two beautiful women in chainmail bikinis cant compare to this playboy shot..."
Then came this hilarious picture. Peter tweeted: "They said the Wampas were the most dangerous thing on Hoth, but they had forgotten the frost giants..."
Apparently, director George Lucas was referred to as Zazzle MoonBreaker on set sometimes. Peter tweeted: "There's no evidence to support rumors that George wanted to write himself into the movie as Zazzle Moonbr- oh wait..."

He then tweeted a picture of a scene that was cut from the finished film, saying: "This is the side set of the Falcon where we filmed the sandstorm (later cut from the finished film)"
Peter kept the nostalgia-run alive, posting some really hilarious behind-the-scenes pictures, like this one, saying: "Whose a cute little Sith Lord? You are, Yes you are, now give us a kiss!!!"
To the delight of 'Star Wars' fan, Peter tweeted this picture, saying: "Check out Han's face. 'Dude, that's your SISTER". Meanwhile Chewie thinks, 'not MY sister!'."
Peter then tweeted this picture of some glow monster that the world never saw, saying: "The glow monster from ROTJ that you never saw. Maybe it will return in episode VII?"
Peter kept posting one picture after another. At around 9:57 AM, Friday, he tweeted: "The most luscious princess in the galaxy and an 11 year old Warwick Davis. I want to be an 11 year old Warwick Davis."
And it seemed one just wasn't enough, so Peter posted another Princess Leia bikini pic, saying: "Its been 30 minutes, here is your gratuitous Chain-mail bikini shot. And look at @HamillHimself shirt!"
Peter then tweeted this picture of George Lucas hangng out casually with Darth Vader, saying: "George Lucas (or Zazzle) with Dave and Irvin Kershner"
With this picture of Stuart Freeborn and Yoda getting dolled up by Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner, Peter tweeted: "I love this picture. Stuart Freeborn and Yoda having their makeup done by Irvin."
Peter posted another picture of a scene that never made it to the final movie, saying: "Another cut scene from ROTJ. I had a hand in this one ;)"
Peter poked fun at his Star Wars character with this picture, saying: "The lovely Kay Freeborn checks my hair for lice just before the medal ceremony."
Peter's fun-filled nostalgia-run kept going on. He later tweeted this picture: "Quality time with my one and only!"
