Dogs woof, cats meow, birds tweet and mice squeak, but what about the fox? What does he say? That is the question being asked in a hilarious viral music video called "The Fox."

Their viral music video uncannily reproduces the clichés of today’s pop music, both musically (the broken “oh-oh-oh” à la Kesha) and lyrically (“Your fur is red/ So beautiful/ Like an angel in disguise”).
The video is part of a promotion for the new season of the popular brothers' talk show in Norway, "I Kveld med YLVIS."

Ylvis is a TV show from Norway consisting of two brothers Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker
Brothers Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker have been performing together since 2000, and they’ve released a number of other slickly produced music videos over the years.
"The Fox" all started when the Ylvis brothers were trying to come up with ideas for the new season of their TV show
Famous in their home country for a slightly banal sense of humor, they were looking for something that would fit in the line of the “Intelevator” and the parody music videos about infamous politicians and the Stonehenge monument.
For some reason, the topic of conversation soon turned to the sounds of different animals. One brother asked the other: “What does the fox say?”

Stargate is a record producing & songwriting duo, also from Norway, based in NYC. They have produced some of the biggest billboard hits since the millennium, including Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” Beyonce’s “Beautiful Liar,” Katy Perry’s “Firework,” & Rihanna’s “S&M.”
The Ylvis brothers had done a mockumentary as a friend service for one of the producers, and the deal was that they’d get a day in the studio in return.
