In looking for creative inspiration, Bradlee began reworking popular music as an exercise and finally gained popularity for his covers of popular Nickelback songs in the style of 60's R&B

Soon after, he created Postmodern Jukebox, a team of musicians that produces covers of modern songs in the styles of jazz, ragtime, swing and more

My goal with Postmodern Jukebox is to get my audience to think of songs not as rigid, ephemeral objects, but like malleable globs of silly putty. Songs can be twisted, shaped, and altered without losing their identities–just as we grow, age, and expire without losing ours–and it is through this exploration that the gap between “high” and “low” art can be bridged most readily.

Scoot Bradlee does not only cover pop songs. In a new segment every Saturday, Scott introduces Saturday Morning Slow Jams, a segment where they cover old cartoon theme songs in a 90's R&B style.

We totally love this interpretation of the Pokemon theme song!
