It can only be the legendary 'Baywatch.'
The iconic 90's TV show featuring The Hoff as the head lifeguard of the elite Baywatch squad, pulled in over 1 billion viewers worldwide during its peak. And now it's back with a fresh makeover.
Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) is the leader of the Baywatch lifeguards. He clashes with new recruit Matt Brody (Zac Efron), a washed-up pro athlete brought in as the new face of the organisation. However, when a dead body is recovered from the ocean, the two must put aside their personal differences and work with their team to stop a criminal mastermind's drug trafficking operation.
The reboot of the classic has been tipped to be the blockbuster of the summer. Check out the trailer now:
We're super excited for the release of Baywatch and think Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson are the perfect fit for the film. Here's why:
8. Dwayne has got to be the BEST choice ever to take up the role of Mitch Buchannon, the leader of the elite 'Baywatch' lifeguards
The character was of course played by the legendary David Hasselhoff in the original TV series!
