There’s a bicycle shop in Germany that does not need a sign to advertise itself. The reason? It has 120 bicycles stuck to its storefront.

It started when 40 trade-in bicycles came in, and a staff asked Horstmann what to do with them. His reply: “Hang ‘em on the wall”, which they did.

Initially, there were only forty bicycles, but over time, they added more bikes to the wall until they accumulated 120 hanging bicycles.

According to Horstmann, their clever use of advertising helped the business increase by “about 40%”, despite the German bicycle market going down by 22%.
