Abang Guard Impresses Netizens With Amazing Piano Skills At Shah Alam Library
The security guard was heard playing scores from 'Howl's Moving Castle' (2004) and a snippet of SZA's 'Kill Bill'.
Each individual is gifted with their own set of talents, and sometimes, those talents are discovered at the unlikeliest of places
In a viral TikTok video posted by user @g3nkhis on 13 April, a security guard on duty was seen casually showcasing his talents on a piano at a library in Shah Alam.
The recorder stated that he heard the music from the movie Howl's Moving Castle (2004) being played, and zoomed in to find the security guard at the piano. Upon noticing he was being recorded, the security guard shyly walked away.
However, the video then cut to a closer view of the security guard in front of the piano, with the recorder encouraging him to keep playing. He played an array of melodies, from Beethoven's Für Elise to SZA's Kill Bill.
The TikTok has since garnered over 28,000 likes and 528,000 views at the time of writing.
It turns out the security guard allegedly has a degree in music, based on a comment from a family member
"(He's) a degree holder in music. To live, you need to eat, as long as you have a sincere source of income. All the best, abang ngah, I'm praying for you," the comment, possibly from the security guard's aunt.
Netizens were in awe at how humble he was with his talents and sent well-wishes his way.
One comment said, "Those who know how to play the piano are very intelligent people."
Another comment wrote, "Ya Allah, (he's) working as a security guard but knows how to play the piano. The strengths and talents of each individual are immeasurable through their occupations."
One TikTok user said that he might be working part-time while waiting for his exam results.
Another encouraged him to sit and play the piano as a break from his shift.
