A photo of a reddish Maggi goreng bought in Singapore has gone viral on Facebook, amusing thousands of netizens and sparking a jovial discussion on the dish
The photo was published by a netizen — believed to be a Malaysian — in a Facebook group called 'Let's Go, Singapore'.
It shows bright red Maggi goreng on brown hawker paper that both Malaysians and Singaporeans are familiar with.
The takeaway dish also comes with a fried egg with its yolk oozing out.
"I have a traumatic experience with Singaporean Maggi goreng," wrote the netizen.
"I dare not buy it again in the future. This is the first time I tried Maggi goreng here. I didn't know it would be like this."

Some netizens likened the red noodles to bloodworms and rubber bands.
Some Facebook users also said they were shocked when they ordered it the first time in Singapore.
A few netizens shared how to order Maggi goreng if they want a non-red version of the dish, while others said the Singaporean style tastes great nonetheless.
Despite saying that he would never try Maggi goreng in Singapore again, the netizen who posted the viral photo gave the dish another shot the next day
This time, he ordered the Malaysian style of the dish and said it is delicious.
