A photo of a reddish Maggi goreng bought in Singapore has gone viral on Facebook, amusing thousands of netizens and sparking a jovial discussion on the dish

The photo was published by a netizen — believed to be a Malaysian — in a Facebook group called 'Let's Go, Singapore'.

It shows bright red Maggi goreng on brown hawker paper that both Malaysians and Singaporeans are familiar with.

The takeaway dish also comes with a fried egg with its yolk oozing out.

"I have a traumatic experience with Singaporean Maggi goreng," wrote the netizen.

"I dare not buy it again in the future. This is the first time I tried Maggi goreng here. I didn't know it would be like this."
