A very homely interior it has; there is this sofa area, a long kitchen bar in the center, and you could also choose your favourite seats facing the window.

LOKL is situated on Jalan Tun H.S.Lee about ten minutes walk from Petaling Street and they share a common place with Backhome hostel, which is also a very lovely place for backpackers.
LOKL Coffee's main claim to fame might be a celebrity connection _ Cheryl Samad owns it _ but it isn't a hollow vanity project. This is one of 2012's nicest new cafes.

Here they use Doi Chaang coffee beans. These are organically grown in Doi Chang, in north-west Thailand near Chiang Mai. It's an area with lush forests and narrow valleys which is suitable for coffee growing.

Podgy & The Banker serves up a pretty decent cuppa (my benchmark being a mocha - coffee aficionado, I am not).
The guys in Podgy and the Banker and Butter + Beans at Seventeen either used to be baristas at b+b or co-owners. That's because I recognized their faces. The coffee is the same and I love that plus they have wonderful desserts.

When we visited the place for the first time we were positively amazed by the wonderful selection of fresh breads. Contrary to many other bakeries they even have two slicing machines, one that does big slices and one for the small sliced bread.
