Locations in Niigata are offering the massive 48-piece meal, which is significantly larger than the usual Japanese serving size of five or 15 pieces.

The 2,000 calorie meal is a limited time offer as a promotion for the new Japanese pop group NGT48, which is sometimes referred to as “Nugget 48” by some in Japan.

For a limited time only, it’s available only in Niigata Prefecture and part of a promotional tie-up with the newly launched pop group NGT48. The groups tend to have around 48 members (sometimes more, sometimes less), divided up into different teams.

Priced at 1,800 yen (RM62), the bucket features commemorative collectables

Each meal will come with a commemorative card featuring one of the 25 members of the enormous pop group, which means fans will have to order a minimum of 1,200 McNuggets to stand a chance of collecting them all without resorting to eBay.
