9 Nostalgic Things Malaysians Love Most About A&W
In light of news that A&W's PJ drive-in branch will be closing this December, we look at the many nostalgic memories Malaysians love about the fast food outlet.

3. WAFFLES. A&W was THE place for Malaysians to have waffles with ice cream on top. It's great for supper. Lining up for ages made it all the more delicious.
4. Their Coney Dog. Who cares if the chunky meat sauce drips all over your hands or if the onions fall on your lap? It's like heaven when you eat it with....
5. CURLY FRIES. When you find a curly fry amongst normal fries, it feels like you've struck serious gold. Just imagine that, in a whole box.
6. The ever so bear-y friendly mascot. As a kid, having your birthdays in A&W was a big deal. If the A&W bear made an appearance, you'd be 'that' popular kid.
8. The PJ drive-in branch was a hot place to "pak-tor". Back in the 70s and 80s, many teenagers made A&W their dinner date destination.
9. Those A&W mugs. So nice that Malaysians would love to 'tapau' them as free gifts. Do you have any of these at home?
