No food hunt in Melaka is complete without a trip to the famous back alley off Jalan Bunga Raya for some fresh cockles, clams, sotong, and other varieties of fresh seafood

Commonly known as longkang siham (cockles by the drain), dining at Tong Bee Stall is an experience you won't get anywhere else as you feast on fresh seafood while sitting in a dimly-lit alley

Patrons have the opportunity to see their food being prepared before their eyes as they are seated on tiny wooden stools along steel long tables. Don't be surprised if some motorcycles come zooming past!

It may not be the cleanest of places to eat at, but the stall is always packed with locals and tourists who can't get enough of the fresh cockles, clams, balitong, and huge prawns paired with their special nutty chilli sauce

The fresh seafood, all of which are boiled before serving, only costs RM4.00 per plate

In addition, the stall also serves tauhu bakar (grilled bean curd), grilled cuttlefish, sotong kangkung, and fishball rojak so there's something for everyone!
