Batik Air has unveiled three new destinations in its route network

Starting in March 2025, travellers can fly to Beijing and Changsha, opening up new opportunities for adventure, tourism, and trade between Malaysia and China.

Here's what you need to know:

- Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX): Flights begin 21 March 2025, operating three times weekly

- Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX): Flights start 22 March 2025, with four weekly services

- Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN): Flights start 11 April 2025, four times weekly

These new routes mark Batik Air's seventh, eighth, and ninth destinations in China, joining existing flights to Chengdu, Guangzhou, Haikou, Kunming, Zhangjiajie, and Zhengzhou

In 2023, Malaysia welcomed over 1.47 million Chinese visitors, a number that surged to 2.82 million in 2024 — a remarkable 92.5% increase.

With contributions of over RM8.83 billion from Chinese travellers last year, these new routes are set to further bolster Malaysia's tourism industry as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
