Ran by a young couple, Nic and Teeraya, Thai Camp is probably one of the best places in town if you're looking to enjoy the explosive flavours of the Thai cuisine without burning a hole in your pocket. Almost all their dishes are under RM10 and guess what's the best part? No service and additional taxes!
MUST TRY: Thai Camp's Preserved Eggs (RM9.50) - their unique Asian twist on Scotch Eggs with large century eggs, wrapped in a layer of fresh minced pork and kaffir lime leaves and deep fried to golden perfection. Another Thai Camp specialty is their 'Moo Ping' pork satay (RM9) - sweetly fragrant with the perfect blend of Asian spices and barbecued to achieve perfectly juicy skewered bits of pork.

2. Boran Classic Thai Street Food @ PJ Sea Park
Run by another power couple, Yang and Donut, Boran Classic Thai Street Food is the place to go if you're craving for authentic, fuss-free Thai street food. The cuisine is inspired by Donut's home province, Chonburi, on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Most of their dishes are no more than RM10 and even a hearty bowl of rice with stir-fried garlic pork only costs RM7.90!
MUST TRY: Grilled pork neck (around RM14.90) is prepared with the sous-vide method of cooking for 16 hours for perfectly cooked, tender and juicy flavoured pork chunks that are served with a special, fiery Thai chili dipping sauce.

4. Yee Wen Thai Food @ Kepong Baru
Yee Wen's Thai Food location in Kepong's industrial area may turn you off but its authentic Thai cuisine, large portions, and affordable price are totally worth going the extra mile for.
MUST TRY: Yee Wen's Thai Fish Cakes (RM4 per piece) - Freshly made daily, Yee Wen's fish cakes are soft, warm and bursting with flavours of shallots, chili padi, spices and long beans. They come with a fiery chili dip which will surely satisfy your inner chili craze. Note that Yee Wen runs out of the fish cakes pretty fast so, it's best to call ahead so that you can eat to your heart's content! Another house special is their special Otak Otak (RM20) dish which brings a new twist to the classic Otak Otak by serving it in a coconut filled with juicy prawns, fish fillet, and squids cooked in a thick, creamy broth of coconut cream and spices.

Go Thai can easily be the mother of all Thai street food restaurants. It serves a range of classic Thai dishes such as Moo Ping (Thai BBQ pork), Pad Ga Prow Moo (minced pork with holy basil and rice), and Phad Mee Korat (pad thai without tofu and crushed peanuts) to name a few. The dishes are all reasonably priced with all the main courses sold for no more than RM10.
MUST TRY: Khao Kha Moo (RM9) - A hearty dish of stewed pork leg that has been braised to perfection with clean, comforting flavours that are not heavy on the palate. Most Thai restaurants would serve Phad Thai but Go Thai serves Phad Mee Korat, which is a twist on the classic Thai noodle dish.
