You Can Donate Your Hair To This NGO In Selangor To Make A Cancer Patient's Day

We've all been there: you're sitting in a salon or barber shop, you look down at the floor, and you see the huge chunk of hair that used to be attached to your head
You could leave all that hair there, to be swept away once you walk out the door.
Or you could make a real difference by donating your locks instead.
The first of its kind in Malaysia, Locks of Hope Association collects hair donated by the public to be turned into wigs for cancer patients
Founded in 2014, Locks of Hope aims to alleviate some of the trauma faced by cancer patients when they experience drastic hair loss, as well as relieve them of the added expense of buying a wig.
"Wigs are a pillar of strength for cancer patients in battling the disease," said Association president Kong Chee Mun during the "Cut for Cancer" carnival In Petaling Jaya last month.
"With wigs, they are able to regain confidence and carry on with their lives with a positive attitude," he added, according to The Star.
Here's how to donate to Locks of Hope:
(8 inches is preferred. Coloured hair is accepted, but bleached or damaged hair is not.)
2. Print the hair donation form and fill in your details.
3. Put the hair and hair donation form in a sealed plastic bag, and then into an envelope.
4. Mail your hair to the Locks of Hope Association office.
