Organised by Estee Lauder Malaysia, it is one of many events aimed at educating women about the importance of early detection and treatment, and raise funds for cancer research.

In keeping with the campaign’s theme of “Let’s Defeat Breast Cancer, We’re Stronger Together”, Estee Lauder Malaysia is collaborating with the Petronas Group of Companies for the first time with the support of the latter’s women’s arm, Petronita.

Since 1997, Estee Lauder Malaysia has been actively promoting the BCA Campaign in Malaysia by organising not only awareness programmes to educate the public on better breast health but also various fundraising activities.

A total of RM3.5 million has been raised to support education, mammogram sponsorships and research solely in Malaysia, benefitting four organisations – Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), College of Radiology Malaysia, The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) and the Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation (CARIF).

“We have been supporting research in breast cancer since 2000,” said Petronas treasury vice-president Nuraini Ismail.
