It’s no wonder the shop is always full of customers despite the attitude from the owners (very famous for bad service). "Yes, I have eaten lots of pan mee. Of course, it includes chili pan mee! However the best I have so far is Kin Kin, for its texture of noodle was superbly sliky, enhanced by the running yolk of the poached egg. Definitely best combination. Complemented with the spicy dried chili flakes was spicy, minced pork and potato leaves, it was a slurpiliscious bowl of pan mee with extra hotness and egginess!"

Unlike the other establishments in town, her noodles are a different bowl game. "Thankfully there's JoJo to fulfill my cravings when they strike.While I wouldn't say they serve the best pan mee, it is quite decent, and they have a wide variety of pan mee renditions to choose from. The noodles itself has the right thick, heavy texture and "plain" flour taste, which is a good base for the sweet-salty soy-based sauce with minced pork."
"The moment you put your pan mee into your mouth, you can taste the slight 'savoriness' of the belacan and "eggy" taste of the poached egg which harmonised with the spicy and sourish taste of the green chilli mix. The red chili mix further enhanced the flavour as it gave the Pan Mee an umami taste as the red chilli mix is made with Chinese dried shrimps while the fried shallots and potato leaves gave the noodle dish a very mild sweet taste."

"To cut an already grandfather’s-category story short, I picked a dry pan mee but with added boost of Hakka braised pork with ‘mook yee’ or cloud ear fungus/wood ear fungus/black fungus...The pork was braised to a beautiful finish, maintaining the firm bite yet seeped with flavours of ‘nam yue’ (fermented bean paste) and the crunchy cloud ear fungus was absolutely pleasant to the tongue. The noodles were okay, being cooked to a slight al dente."
