We might be on the wrong side of the Asian region, but there are many simple ways to go about being more Korean in our daily lives.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you would know that Korean culture is all the rage these days and everyone wants a piece of the kimchi pancake. Ever wished you were more Korean? Here's how:

1. First things first, you gotta look like one. Ladies, vamp up your wardrobe with bright colours (like the girls of SNSD!) and guys, it's time to invest in a well-fitted jacket or two.

One of K-pop's most popular girl groups, the ladies of SNSD favour skirts and dresses in bright colours. Also, make sure you get yourself a nice, comfy pair of heels to strut around in!

A well-fitted jacket lends sophistication to a casual look. Fold up the hems of your pants and complete the look with a pair of sneakers or dress shoes.

2. Schedule an appointment with your hairstylist and don't forget to bring a picture of Kim Soo-hyun, Ku Hye-sun or any one of your favourite Korean idols. They'll know what to do.

3. Expose your ears (and eyes) to Korean music, with the obvious choice being K-Pop. The songs are catchy and often accompanied by mind-blowing dance moves and multi-talented eye candy.

4. Watching videos while sitting down all day can't be healthy. Get up and dance like the Koreans do!

5. Learn to speak in Korean, starting from simple phrases like "an-yŏng-ha-se-yo" (hello), "kam-sa-ham-ni-da" (thank you) and "an-nyŏng-hi ga-se-yo" (goodbye).

6. Get your taste buds acquainted with Korean food. Koreans are very fond of beef and noodles, so what better way to enjoy the best of both with beef noodles?
