Japan's Largest Karaoke Chain Finally Opens Its First Outlet In Malaysia
The chain has over 550 outlets in Japan as well as outposts in Korea and Singapore.
Good news, karaoke enthusiasts! There's a new player in town for your next singing session, as Japan's largest karaoke chain Karaoke Manekineko finally opens its first ever outlet in Malaysia.
The chain, which has over 550 outlets in Japan as well as branches in Korea and Singapore, officially entered the Malaysian market in November at the newly-opened EkoCheras Mall.
Cat lovers will love the establishment's interior, with cute caricatures and soft toys of the chain's namesake - Manekineko is Japanese for the iconic "beckoning cat" - peppered across its massive space
The outlet houses 30 spacious karaoke rooms as well as two VIP rooms, which can fit a party of up to 30 people and has a pool table. Some rooms may also have a golden mic stand for that one diva friend who's always hogging the mic. :p
There are ample choices of songs for any multilingual party, as Karaoke Manekineko's music library boasts 180,000 songs in English, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese, Hokkien, Japanese, Korean, and more.
Families with kids can also rest easy, as the outlet has child-friendly rooms that are split into a karaoke section as well as a mini playground for little ones to entertain themselves in
While customers will have to order meals off the menu, the outlet does offer free-flow drinks and snacks at the bar area
Prices start from RM10 to RM35 per head, depending on the day and time of your session. If you're a student or senior citizen, you might even get to enjoy Happy Hour at a discounted price on weekdays!
Karaoke Manekineko is located at Lot S23 of EkoCheras Mall at Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The outlet is open from 11am to 3am daily.
