Meet your new Dove Girl, Cherrelle Westwood
"My name is Cherelle Westwood. I came from a family of 7 – 5 boys and a sister – from Penang, Malaysia. I am currently 22 years old. I’m studying Degree in Finance in Segi College KL and I will be entering my second year in this coming semester."
facebook.comThis 22-year-old Penang lass grew up in a family of singers. She dyed her hair red to look like Ariel from Disney's Little Mermaid.
"Growing up in a family where music runs in our blood, my mum is a singer. I started singing when I was 7 years old. I feel like it’s the way to express myself."
facebook.com"(My hair) is smooth, bouncy and frizzy-free. (My hair is red because) I have always wanted to look like Ariel the mermaid. The colour, red, also makes me who I am – It helps me express myself better through music. I would describe my hair as a snake because it is very sleek and shiny. I also love it when my hair follows the way I move, like a snake."
facebook.comNot only has Cherrelle won RM10,000 cash, she will also be gracing the media as the Dove Girl
"Since colouring my hair, it has been damaged intensively. Dove has allowed me to have great looking hair, I like how it instantly makes it soft after just using shampoo and conditioner, and I don’t really have to do much anymore. It has made me more comfortable with myself."
facebook.comExpect to spot Dove girl Cherrelle on billboards and magazines soon
"When I was told that I was the grand prize winner of Dove Girl, I was really surprised and I kept asking myself, “Am I dreaming? OMG is this real?” I even told my parents about it and they were really proud of me. I’m glad that my family members have always been so supportive of me joining the competition."
facebook.com"I am really looking forward to seeing my faces on the magazine covers now. Even now, I had people telling me that I looked familiar and that they seemed to have seen me elsewhere before. I can’t wait to be the first to rush to the bookstores to buy the magazine I will be appearing in!"
