[PHOTOS] Malaysia Airlines Uses Songket For Its Ground Crew's New Chic Uniform
The new uniform is a seamless blend of sleek contemporary lines and a vibrant nod to Malaysia's rich cultural heritage.
Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has recently unveiled a stunning new ground crew uniform in a bold classic navy blue colour
The new uniform is as chic as it is functional.
Think of a seamless blend of sleek contemporary lines and a vibrant nod to Malaysia's rich cultural heritage, and you've got the picture.
The new uniforms are for AeroDarat Services (ADS), and feature a songket design rather than the previous batik. The intricate songket motif is woven into the blazer.
Songket, a traditional Malaysian textile, usually reserved for special occasions, elevates the uniform to a symbol of national pride, worn with confidence and grace.
The new uniforms embrace diversity and practicality, offering a tailored three-piece suit with both skirt and trouser options for women, and a Nehru-collared shirt and trousers for men
In a statement, MAG described how the new uniform is comfortable, as it is made with breathable, easy-care fabrics. This ensures that the ground crew can move with ease and focus on their crucial role in shaping your airport experience.
But it's not just about looking good – it's about feeling good.
MAG's Group Managing Director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail emphasised the commitment to professionalism and equality embedded in the design.
"This is a celebration of our internal talents. A symbol of the unity and creativity that propel us forward," he said.
MAG also unveiled its first-ever ground staff handbag and clutch, which are repurposed from the old kebaya uniforms
This thoughtful touch highlights MAG's commitment to sustainability and respecting its heritage.
