1. You could wake up in a different country every day
The best part about being on a cruise is that every morning you wake up in a different location. Just imagine, we stopped at Penang for the day and went on a massive foodie trail, satisfying all our cravings. Got back to the ship in the evening to chill and enjoy the night time entertainment. Then slept like a baby in the most comfortable room. When we woke up in the morning, we were in Phuket! You’re essentially on a floating hotel that brings you to your next destination every day. The best.

2. It's a great place to chill and unwind
My cruise ship experience was super relaxing. I spent a lot of my time in the ship library, curled up in a comfy chair, either reading a book or doing stuff online. Oh yeah! Some cruise ships have WiFi! I didn't know. Lol.

3. There are loads of activities onboard the ship
To be honest I thought that a cruise would be boring. I did not expect there to be so many activities onboard, throughout the day… and night! From dance classes to archery competitions, rock climbing, basketball courts, and obstacles courses… the entertainment was non-stop. It’s basically impossible to get bored on a cruise or run out of things to do.

4. The parties and nightlife are lit
I was actually on a cruise for work so wasn't expecting much. But it became "The Trip" that me and my colleagues still talk about. The nightlife was insaaane! From loads of shows to parties, drinks, cocktails... We would be up all night dancing and hanging out on deck, then watch the sunrise over the water. Crazy, crazy, awesome trip.

5. You haven't really experienced water slides until you've been on a cruise
Did you know there are huge water slides on cruise ships?! I had no idea! I went on a cruise with my family and there were several water slides that twist and turn on the deck. You're zooming down while looking out at sea!

6. You could get lucky at the casino
I went into the casino on the cruise ship just to look around. Someone was on a hot, winning streak at the Blackjack table. Without thinking I said, "Wah, doing quite good ah?" Everyone stared at me and I was like "Oh no!" and walked away quickly. I don't know if you believe in these things but yeah, he lost the next round after that. Sorry uncle! I made some money though, so I guess I took some of his luck :P

7. It's a great way to meet awesome people
I am really shy. It's just very hard for me to talk to people. I always freeze and end up saying super awkward things. Anyway, I went on a cruise with family and there was just so much to do onboard. You kinda get to know your neighbours because you see them at breakfast, then on deck, then at shows etc. So it became really easy to "break the ice" because we'd just be in the middle of a crazy activity together. Talking, laughing, and making friends became easy because we're all doing the same thing. It was such a fun holiday, and I made friends that I still talk to today!

8. It can be super romantic too
My honeymoon was on a cruise! It was wonderful. Our suite was huge and had a personal hot tub. The view was spectacular. There were loads of restaurants to choose from and the food was really just so good! Being at sea just felt so romantic. We loved every second of it!

9. The shows and performances are magical
If you're into live performances, then cruise ships really deliver! I was totally blown away by all the live acts they had lined up from afternoon, evening, to night.
