Watch What Happens When A Black Man Brings His White Girlfriend Into A Black Barbershop

Picture this: You’re at the hairdresser when, all of a sudden, one of the employees starts slamming a customer for being in an interracial relationship… while the partner in question is sitting right there.

What would you do? That's the very question patrons of a Harlem barbershop were faced with in a recent episode of ABC’s ‘What Would You Do?’.

Here’s the setup: A black female actress was cast as hairdresser ‘Rachel’ and tasked with criticizing her black male client for dating a white woman.

That’s when the most amazing thing happens: A black woman sitting next to the white girlfriend says, "I am not bothered by you."

When Rachels asks why she’s defending a white woman, she replies: “She could be purple - I’m defending a woman. Period.”

As Rachel continues her ignorant rant and says she hopes the couple doesn't have children, another customer lets loose and totally schools her.

Responses to Rachel’s close-mindedness ranged from silence, to people calling her “racist” and “ignorant,” to an interesting older woman who drew some very real emotions from the actors. Watch the video and the rest of the segment:
