This Cosy Hideout In KL Offers Good Coffee Made By Barista Instructors
Peaceful haven in the city.
Situated along a small neighbourhood alley in Old Klang Road is this cosy nook where you can find a good cuppa joe made by professionals
The entrance, which looks like something out of a Peter Rabbit storybook, appears as just another house along Jalan Jugra.
But as you enter, it opens up into this picturesque escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Run as a coffee school and barista academy, Barista Guild Asia recently opened its space to the public to unwind with a cup of coffee and some light snacks
Like many businesses during this pandemic, the school was forced to shut down two of their locations prior to this pivot.
In an attempt to start anew earlier this year, they moved to rent a space with Sekeping Jugra in this quiet residential area in KL, but have only started operating recently due to Movement Control Order (MCO) restrictions.
Since it's also an academy run by barista instructors, they don't see themselves as a conventional cafe but as more of a quiet retreat for those who enjoy coffee.
"We have people challenging us to make them coffee just they way they like it. We welcome that with wide open arms. Coffee is an individualised beverage," they shared with SAYS.
Aside from coffee, they offer desserts like butter cake, chocolate cake, and carrot cake, as well as Basque cheesecake
They also serve salmon, duck, and vegetarian quiches, among other yummies.
You can grab your cup to go or chill at one of their open-air tables.
Take note that you need to make a reservation a day in advance before heading there.
