2 Women Die By Suicide After Their Lover Passed Away From Kidney Failure
The man, his wife, and his cohabiting girlfriend were said to have gotten along well in their house in Kuantan, Pahang, before their deaths.
Two women have died by suicide in Kuantan, Pahang, after their lover passed away due to a kidney disease
According to China Press, the women were reportedly the man's wife and girlfriend, who all lived in the same house in Taman Tanah Putih Baru.
They were found unconscious at 1am on Saturday, 23 July, by the man's 13-year-old son.
It is understood that the son's biological mother is the man's ex-wife. He sought help from the neighbour after discovering the women's bodies.
The deceased women were aged 38 and 23, while their lover was 47 years old
China Press reported that the three lived in the same house with the 13-year-old boy and got along well.
Kuantan district police chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the preliminary investigation found that the 38-year-old wife was found in a room on the second floor of the house, while the cohabiting 23-year-old girlfriend was found in the living room.
He said they both were found hanging and the police have ruled out the possibility of criminal elements as no valuables were missing at home and the deceased did not have any suspicious injuries.
According to Zahari, the police believe that the two women died by suicide because they could not bear the fact that their lover had died
They felt helpless, were under great pressure, and they had suicidal thoughts.
In a separate report by China Press, it is learned that the man worked as a deliveryman and suffered from stage five chronic kidney disease before his death.
He took his last breath at 3am on Friday, 22 July, and 10 hours later, the two women died by suicide.
The cohabiting girlfriend once said that she wished to bear her lover's surname after her death. The man's elder sister tried to convince her not to have such an idea in her head and did not expect her death to come so soon.
The sister also revealed that both her brother's lovers had gone out to work to help the family after the man had to stop working due to his health conditions.
One China Press reporter noted that the spirit tablets of the two women were placed beside the man's coffin.
Many relatives and friends were seen giving the deceased their last respects.
Sin Chew Daily reported that the deceased girlfriend's body was at the mortuary as she tested positive for COVID-19, while the bodies of the man and his wife were cremated.
A special arrangement was made so that the three could travel together in different hearses.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
