4 Strangers Jump Into Monsoon Drain To Save Woman After Car Plunges Into Water

The men pulled her out of the vehicle just as it submerged.

Four strangers acted swiftly to save a woman who nearly drowned after her car plunged into a large monsoon drain in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, today, 8 April

According to Harian Metro, the woman, a doctor, was driving along Jalan Lintas Kepayan from Kota Kinabalu International Airport towards Lido at about 7am.

She reportedly crashed into the rear of a tow truck, causing her to lose control of her vehicle, which then skidded off the road before plunging into the large roadside drain.

The tow truck driver, who witnessed the incident, immediately jumped into the drain to help

Three other men who happened to be passing by also joined the rescue effort.

They managed to pull the victim out of the vehicle just as it became submerged.

The victim was later taken to hospital for further treatment.
