Father Gets 203 Years' Jail And 24 Strokes Of Rotan For Raping His Daughter 14 Times

Sandakan Sessions Court Judge Egusra Ali has slapped a total of 203 years jail and 24 strokes of caning on a Sandakan resident who pleaded guilty of raping his daughter 14 times, The Star reported
The man, aged 44, committed the offences at his house at Kampung Linayukan in Tongod between 20 November 2014 to 5 January 2015. His daughter was just 12 years old then. He was charged under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code.
While deputy public prosecutor Mohd Faizal Bin Md Noor told the court that the victim was raped more than 14 times by her father, she could only recall being raped 14 times.
According to reports, some rapes took place when the other children of the accused were not at home while some incidents happened when they were at home but did realize that their father was raping the victim.

The court was told that the 12-year and three-month-old victim was first raped around 8am on November 20, 2014. The second and third incidents happened around 3pm and 8pm on November 21, 2014. The fourth time was around 8am the following day.
She was also raped twice on November 25, 2014 at around 11am and 11pm. The victim was raped for three consecutive days at 8am on November 26, 2014, at 2pm on November 27, and around 9am on November 28.
The father raped her daughter four times on December 21, 22, 24 and 25 around 6pm, 2pm, 11.30pm, 11.30pm respectively. She was raped for the last time around 10am on January 5, this year, the court heard.

It was the victim's mother (the man's wife) who lodged a police report on 27 May this year after realising that her daughter is pregnant. Further investigation revealed that the victim, who is currently under the care of Welfare Department for protection and counseling purposes, was into her 26th week of pregnancy.
The father, however, who was not represented during the case, will spend only 21 years in jail as the sentences are to run concurrently.
