49-Year-Old Superbiker Dies After Crashing Into A Road Divider On NSE

A 49-year-old riding a high-powered Yamaha motorcycle was killed in a road crash at KM 242.2 of the North-South Expressway (northbound) in Seremban on Saturday

The victim, identified as Shahruddin Ibrahim from Singapore, is believed to have lost control of his vehicle, before crashing into a road divider.

In the fatal accident, the victim suffered severe injuries on the left side, broke his right leg and injury on the chest

The accident occurred early in the morning but police only received information at about 9.50am, Rembau District Police Chief, DSP Ibrahim Sharif said.

"The victim jumped and fell between the dividers, while the victim's motorcycle crashed and fell to the left bank.

"As a result of the accident, the victim was killed at the scene. His body was taken to Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem," Sinar Harian quoted the DSP.

The victim's family has been notified of the accident

Meanwhile, the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, the Rembau District Police Chief said.
