A 54-year-old priest is accused of sexually abusing a five-year-old girl - who was a student in a class he taught. The incident came to light after the girl's parents found sketches depicting the assault.

According to reports, the parents found the sketches after their daughter refused to attend any more of the priest’s English classes.

The little girl was so distraught that her parents took her to a child psychologist who suspected sexual abuse and urged them to search her room for any signs.

Later when they started looking, they found sketches drawn by her detailing the alleged sexual abuse in horrific detail, reported The Mail Online.

Karine Maia - from the Delegation for Stopping Crimes Against Women pressure group - told local media: "We found six drawings among the child’s belongings. One of them that caught our attention shows the face of a naked man with an erect penis."

The incident happened in the city of Montes Claros, in Minas Gerais in Brazil.
