A Cyber Café In KL Was Robbed At Gunpoint By A Cop

A 55-year-old cop, with the rank of Lance Corporal, attached to the Commercial Crime Department (CCD) at the Shah Alam Police HQs, robbed a cyber café in Jalan Radin Anum, Sri Petaling yesterday

The robbery happened at about 7am, during which the 55-year-old armed policeman held up the cyber cafe owner and fled with RM2,000 cash.

According to Chief Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) at Brickfields, Sharul Othman Mansor, the armed cop shot the owner

ACP Sharul said the victim suffered a flesh wound from the bullet grazing his chest.

While the armed cop managed to escape following his exploit, police were able to trace the Lance Corporal and arrested him

Authorities seized RM2,000 in cash and a Sig Sauer gun from the Lance Corporal.

The case is being investigated under Section 39 of the Firearms Act 1960 and Section 392 and 397 for armed robbery, reported The Star
