Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who also holds the Finance portfolio, while announcing Budget 2024 in parliament today, 13 October, stated that the government will increase service tax
The service tax will be increased from the current 6% to 8%.
According to Anwar, this will not involve the food and beverage (F&B) industry and telecommunications.
