A Lot Of Brits Weren't Even Aware What They Had Actually Voted For In #Brexit

Report says they Googled "What is the EU?" hours after voting to leave it.

Voting is a democratic practice to determine the will of the people, but the shock EU Referendum in which the Brits voted to 'Leave' the European Union, it seems it was, apparently, "a leap in the dark"

In a report published by The Washington Post, which cited Google reporting sharp upticks in searches not only related to the ballot measure but also about basic questions concerning the implications of the vote.

In fact, about 8 hours AFTER the polls closed, Google tweeted that searches for "what happens if we leave the EU" had more than tripled.

While many Brits were mystified by what would happen if they left the E.U., many, it appears, weren't even aware "what the E.U. is"
