Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will be the new International Trade and Industry Minister

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin made the announcement during an address to announce the new Cabinet line-up today, 9 March.

Azmin Ali was the former Economic Affairs Minister under Pakatan Harapan before he was sacked from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on 24 February

He and 10 other members collectively left PKR to form their own independent bloc in Parliament.

The group denied allegations of those who labelled them as traitors following their resignations. Several leaders of Pakatan Harapan had also expressed their disapproval over the new alliance.

The PM also revealed that there will be no Deputy Prime Minister in his administration:
